About of new claude models issue

I have a Google AI Pro plan activated through a promotional offer (UZS 0/month for 3 months). In Antigravity, Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 show a notice saying they’re available on paid Pro and Ultra plans. Does a plan activated through a promotion or an introductory discount count as paid for Opus 5.5 access? And if I pay the full price (UZS 239,880/month), will it unlock?"

I’m experiencing the exact same thing.
My understanding is that promotional plans aren’t affected—only the free and Plus plans are. If all plans were impacted, student plans would be too, but Google tends to do the opposite of many other companies; they heavily subsidize education.
For instance, I’m in a vocational training program and have access to three months of Google AI Pro. When that plan expires, I have the option to renew it at a discounted rate. In theory, it’s the same thing; as far as Google is concerned, I have an AI Pro plan—they don’t distinguish between a standard paid subscription and one obtained through a student promotion.

Right now, I’m looking into how to update, because I see that a lot of people in the US already have access to the Claude 5.5 models, and I’m not sure if that’s because of their location. Since I’m in the EU, the updates might just arrive later.

Or maybe it does actually affect our promotional plans—who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Yeah its really like that others getting the best models of the claude but im not getting like it does not wants to give it ? idk maybe its country issue

Hi @Umida_Qosimova and @SamuelRoguez,

Welcome to the Forum!

Access to the new Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 models in Antigravity is specifically available only for standard, actively paid Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions.

Here are the direct answers to your questions:

  • Do promotional/student plans get access? Currently, plans activated via a free promotional offer (like the 3-month introductory offer) or student discount periods are classified as trial subscriptions. As a result, they do not include access to these newer third-party frontier models.
  • Will paying full price unlock it? Yes! Once your promotional period ends and you convert to a fully paid AI Pro subscription (or if you choose to upgrade to a standard paid plan now), access to the Claude 5.5 models will automatically unlock.
  • Is it a geographic/country issue? No, the rollout isn’t delayed by region. The limitation you are seeing is tied strictly to the subscription’s trial status.

As a quick heads-up regarding the banner you are seeing: starting on November 2, 2026, access to the older third-party models (like Claude Opus and Sonnet 4.6) will be sunset for Free, Plus and trial-tier plans. After that date, third-party model access will be an exclusive benefit for fully paid plans.

Hope this helps clarify things!
