Hey everyone, I think it’s time we have a serious, honest conversation about the current state of the Google AI ecosystem. Ever since the recent updates leading into June 2026, the platform’s stability hasn’t just dipped—it has completely nosedived.
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the severe degradation of the core reasoning capabilities, especially within the “Deep Think” mode. What used to be a reliable, enterprise-grade reasoning engine is now a compromised, unstable mess. The model can no longer maintain complex logical links throughout a long context window. Instead of rigorously thinking through a multifaceted problem, it now takes the path of least resistance—it compromises, hallucinates facts, and generates superficial outputs that completely miss the mark.
But perhaps the most frustrating part of this entire ordeal is the “update-break-repeat” cycle. Core bugs and regressions are never fully patched, yet Google keeps aggressively pushing out new features and platform shifts. We are dealing with catastrophic issues like the infinite “Thinking…” loops, broken context retention, and severe RAG failures in NotebookLM. Yet, instead of halting the feature bloat to fix the core infrastructure, Google just keeps rolling out new shiny toys.
As power users, we are rapidly losing our patience. We are paying premium subscription fees—many of us shelling out for the highest Ultra tiers—only to be treated like paying guinea pigs. The new compute-based quota limits mean our accounts are being drained almost instantly after just a few prompts, often because the model gets stuck in an infinite loop or fails to complete the task properly.
It honestly feels like Google is completely out of touch with the reality of its own product and doesn’t realize how severely broken the daily workflow has become for its paid users. We don’t need faster benchmark specs on paper, and we definitely don’t need more flashy feature bloat right now. We need a system that actually works. We need fixes, not new features .
Who else is experiencing this exact same regression in their daily workflows? Let’s make some noise so the dev team actually prioritizes infrastructure stability over their next big press releas e.
