- gemini-2.0-flash API free version always returns “503 UNAVAILABLE” error. Is there a solution?
- Does the paid version of the gemini-2.0-flash API encounter similar ‘503 UNAVAILABLE’ errors? If not, we can subscribe to the paid version.
Hi @liugang_shang , Welcome to the forum.
A 503 error usually indicates that the service is temporarily overloaded or unavailable. You can try temporarily switching to another model to see if that resolves the issue, or wait a short time and retry your request.
Upgrading to a paid tier generally provides higher rate limits and may reduce the frequency of such errors.
Thanks

I was underthe impression that in Firebase Blaze plan - pay as you go,…we are already using the paid version of the gemini2.5 flash model? Please advise how to subscribe to the paid model.
