If anthropic models, Google’s infrastructure cannot handle the scale required to service the paid plans they sell.
With Opus you will get up to 90% failure rate on inference (on every step, so even if it starts work and it reads a file it will probably crash right after that). Pretty much unusable.
With Sonnet a little better but still too frustrating to actually use.
It’s been like this for weeks. They know about it but will not acknowledge it for legal hand washing reasons. We were scammed. I will not be renewing my subscription.
Also, on Gemini models they sometimes route you to Gemini flash even if you select Gemini pro. So roulette there too.
And they seem to be prioritizing traffic from free users and trial users, to entice them to buying the subscription.
