2.5 TTS GA in the Gemini API?

I see that generally available versions of Gemini 2.5 Flash/Pro TTS have been released via Google Cloud, but they don’t seem to be released to Gemini API yet. It would be a great release, is that going to happen soon?

Hello,

Welcome to the Forum!

The Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS models are available through the Gemini API. We recommend referring to the detailed information in the model section of the Gemini API documentation:

Above links provide details on capabilities of these models.

Hi, thank you!

I don’t believe they are available in the API. I already carefully went through the docs before asking my question. Unless I’m missing something, those links only show the preview TTS models being available, not the GA models that were released on Google Cloud.

Hello,

These models are available and mentioned in the documentation. You can find details about Gemini 2.5 Pro TTS by opening the Gemini 2.5 Pro section, clicking “Expand to learn more”, and then selecting Gemini 2.5 Pro TTS. Similarly, you can view information about Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS in the same way.

Please note that these are preview models, and it is difficult to comment on future plans. We recommend keeping an eye on the documentation for the latest updates.

Thank you for trying to help but it doesn’t seem like you really understood what I said. I don’t need links or reminders to open the documentation. As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve already read through all the documentation thoroughly. I’ll restate what I said in the original post:

The Generally Available versions of these models have already been released on Google Cloud. In Gemini API, they are still in Preview mode. My question was: Since the Generally Available models are already out in Google Cloud, are they also coming to Gemini API soon? It would be great to see them there and it should be an easy release since they’re already done.

Hello,

Apologies for the confusion earlier. To clarify the models currently available are those listed in the official documentation. Regarding future plans or upcoming model releases, it would be difficult for us to comment at this time. We recommend keeping an eye on official announcements and documentation for the most accurate and up to date information.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ok got it, thank you.
