Your Gemini API services paused due to spend caps

Greetings.

This morning I got an email that I overspent than cap limit and my Gemini API service is paused. I didn’t use that project for a while in Google AI studio.

Immediately I deleted the key and removed the billing account too.

Please let me know what would have happened?

To be honest, if your hitting your spend cap for your project, why dont you [integrate ai]into or [custom build ai]?

At the moment i haven’t had this problem.

Deleting the keys is the right approach if the request for your project was not made by you.
I would also recommend reaching out to cloud billing support if you have unauthorized charges on your account.

Thank you @Mustan_lokhand. I have deleted the keys immediately and got the confirmation from Google that the charges were made in error.
