I was scrolling models in the playground in AI studio and I noticed that Gemini 3.1 pro preview has 2 different prices:
If you select “Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview”, it says:
<=200k tokens Input $2.00 / Output $12.00
>200k tokens Input $4.00 / Output $18.00
While if you select “Gemini Pro Latest” it says “Points to Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview”, and is priced at:
<=200k tokens Input $1.25 / Output $10.00
>200k tokens Input $2.50 / Output $15.00
This is either not the same model and therefore the description on Gemini Pro Latest is wrong, or if it’s the same model then one of the 2 has the wrong pricing, or it doesn’t make any sense.
Can anyone from Google clarify what’s going on?
