I’m a bit confused about the direction of this new update. What was the core design concept behind it? What exact user pain points is it trying to address? It feels a bit counterintuitive compared to the previous version.
I agree, they took a very good product and made it unusable.
I have found now method to launch the editor from the agent window. The previous version simply had: Open editor. Now there is no way.
The “core design concept” is most likely that some useless suited executive needed to justify the existence of his position and to add “revamp of a major product in frontier AI development” to their portfolio.
and it will break a tons of s### and he will need to hire more guys to fix it.
Google is no longer focused on developers, but rather on a general-purpose solutions platform – that’s version 2.0
