The plugin has been broken to the point of being nearly unusable for weeks now.

Can’t type in prompt box without using tab to select it

Only reads 5 recent files, no ability to configure it

“finish changes” doesn’t respect recent files

Gemini 3.1 was added and then removed, and was constantly overloaded

Frequently gets into a loop at the end of making changes

Sometimes outputs a copy of the file in the chat instead of making the changes
It is very obvious that the team working on this doesn’t know what they’re doing and isn’t testing the plugin at all. These are very obvious problems after using it for even a few minutes.
If this is supposed to be a development tool, Google needs to take it seriously.
I’m making it work by putting my prompt in the document and relying on directions in the AGENTS file and rules to read it so that I just need to re-run the same prompt. I shouldn’t have to be figuring out janky workarounds for a plugin to use a paid subscription that’s supposed to be a professional tool.
