We are actively using the Antigravity environment as our primary platform for managing and orchestrating local AI agents. While the system demonstrates impressive capabilities in autonomy and task synchronization, we have encountered a fundamental user experience (UX) limitation that significantly hinders our daily workflow: the complete absence of a right-click context menu in input fields and throughout the user interface.
1. The Issue and Its Impact
When working within input fields (prompt boxes, file path fields, project configurations, and agent chat environments), right-clicking yields no response. This results in:
No Mouse-Driven Editing: Standard operations such as Cut, Copy, Paste, and Select All are entirely inaccessible via the mouse.
Total Dependency on Keyboard Shortcuts: Users are forced to rely exclusively on keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V). During intensive, multitasking workflows—such as transferring file paths, code snippets, tokens, and parameters from external apps—this friction breaks the user’s focus and operational flow.
Accessibility Barriers: Users who rely primarily on mouse navigation or those with motor disabilities face severe friction when trying to input data without native clipboard access via the mouse.
2. Why This is a Critical Standard
Whether Antigravity operates as a desktop wrapper (Electron / Chromium / WebView) or an IDE extension, it should adhere to modern desktop standards:
OS Consistency: Across Windows, macOS, and Linux, text input fields are fundamentally expected to provide a native or custom context menu.
Reducing Cognitive Friction: Advanced AI tools should minimize manual friction. The lack of a right-click menu makes the interface feel like an unpolished web wrapper rather than an enterprise-grade development environment.
3. Proposed Solutions and Recommendations
We kindly request the integration of full context menu support in an upcoming release (Antigravity 2.x):
Standard Text Editing Menu: Implement a clean, native-feeling context menu for all text fields containing Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, and Select All, complete with their corresponding keyboard shortcut hints.
Direct System Clipboard Access: Ensure seamless pasting from the system clipboard without triggering web-wrapper security warnings or permission prompts.
Agent-First Contextual Actions (Future Enhancement): Consider extending the context menu to support AI-specific actions when highlighting text, code, or logs (e.g., “Explain with Agent”, “Send to Active Agent”, or “Insert Path as Context”).
We highly appreciate the innovation Google is bringing to the AI orchestration space with Antigravity, and we hope this core usability issue can be addressed soon to improve the developer experience.

I’m also experiencing this on Windows, currently using Antigravity Desktop 2.12.2. Right click previously worked for me.
This started after my old PC crashed in the middle of an Antigravity project. After the crash, all my projects disappeared. I eventually recovered my projects and conversation history, but right clicking has not worked since. The problem continued after moving to a new PC, and uninstalling and reinstalling Antigravity did not help either.
Right clicking in the message input and conversation list produces no menu, although the three dot options button works. Resetting the disposable caches and testing a clean user data profile also did not resolve it.
I’m not sure what else to try. Is there a known fix or workaround, or specific diagnostics I can provide?
Hi, thanks for the quick response! Here are the details to help you understand the issue:
Operating System: I am experiencing this on Windows (specifically using the standalone Antigravity Desktop Application).
Regarding the Screenshot: A screenshot won’t show anything because absolutely nothing happens when right-clicking. No menu appears, and no visual error is triggered.
To clarify, this is not about the VS Code extension; it’s a global UX issue in the standalone Desktop App. Since the app is built on an embedded web/browser wrapper, the native OS context menu is completely disabled by default throughout the interface.
Because of this, standard text operations (like right-clicking to Paste into the chat prompt input, or right-clicking to Copy text/code generated by the model) are missing entirely.
To fix this, the app simply needs a basic Custom Context Menu component wired to the system clipboard APIs (document.execCommand or navigator.clipboard) implemented globally across the app’s input fields and text areas.
Hope this helps the team implement it in the next build!
Update, September 14: I installed the official Google signed Antigravity Desktop 2.13.0 update on Windows and tested again. The issue is still present in the standalone desktop app.
With the normal launcher, right clicking in the message input or on a conversation produces no menu. The conversation’s three dot options button still works. Reinstalling and resetting disposable caches did not resolve this previously. A clean Electron user data profile also failed, although that test still shared my recovered backend data, so it was not a completely isolated installation.
I now have a temporary local launcher workaround that adds an Electron context menu handler in memory. It supplies the editing menu and connects conversation right clicks to the existing options menu. Both work with that launcher on 2.13.0, but the problem returns when starting the app normally. No installed application code was patched, and my recovered projects and conversations remain intact.
Could the team reproduce this on Windows and confirm whether a native fix is planned? Please let me know what specific diagnostics would help. The original crash happened before I noticed the problem, but I cannot confirm that it caused it.
Update, September 24: I tested Antigravity Desktop 2.17.0 on Windows. Right-click still opens no menu in the message input or on a conversation when I launch the app normally. The existing three-dot conversation menu works.
I also checked the installed Electron app code: I could not find a web-content context-menu handler in its packaged desktop JavaScript. My temporary launcher adds that handler in memory, and both the editing menu and conversation menu then work on 2.17.0. The earlier disposable-cache reset and clean Electron user-data test did not fix the normal app (the clean profile still shared my recovered backend data). This points toward missing context-menu handling in the desktop app, though I cannot establish what caused it after my old PC crashed. I have not deleted or changed any projects or conversations.
Could someone on the Antigravity team reproduce this in the Windows standalone desktop app and confirm whether native right-click menus are planned? I can provide a precise reproduction sequence or focused diagnostics if useful.
