# Using 10 USD Credits for Google gemini API

I wanted to use $10 credits for the Gemini API’s, but in Google AI Studio under the API key, it shows 0 Credits, but as you see in the screenshot, I have already claimed… Is there any way to fix this?

Please help me, someone im dealing with this problem since hours

Hello @kevin_bandara

To use the credits:

- Select the benefit in your [Google Developer Program dashboard](https://developers.google.com/profile/u/me/dashboard).

- Select a billing account to apply the credit to.

- Create a new Cloud project linked to the billing account, or find an existing one.

- Go to the AI Studio [Projects page](https://aistudio.google.com/projects) and import your project.

How is that possible, if the AI Studio forces prepayment?

Do you have to unlock the Tier 1 account by making a one-time, explicit $10 payment (via credit card) in order to use the 10$ “free” credits from the Developer Program (Google AI Pro subscription from Google One)?

Yes. You are forced to keep the balance above 0, but google will always charge your prepaid first.
