Use of Gemini Logo

Hello team,

I have a question regarding the use of the Gemini logo in our project:

  1. Are we allowed to include the Gemini logo in our submission video and source code?
  2. We’d like to use the logo when describing how to use the Gemini API. Is this acceptable?
  3. Additionally, we’re considering modifying the Gemini logo with different colors to better explain its usage. Would this be permissible?

Any guidance on these logo usage questions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

I am not a lawyer, but you may wish to consult the brand guidelines for details.

Great question, I literally have a Gemini “button” in my application for the competition.
Didn’t think about all this, I may have to remove it now to be safe.
The irony of getting disqualified for using their logo for their competition would be too much to bear.

It says in the brand guideline that:

Don’t claim we’re partners
Don’t use words such as “partner,” “partnership,” “powered by,” or “endorsed by” when referring to your relationship with Google.

I don’t know if the above applies to Google products like Gemin or just the Google brand.
