I’m currently working on a fairly large project using Antigravity with Gemini 3.1 Pro, and I’ve encountered an issue with the quota recharge time.
At the beginning of my usage, once the AI quota was exhausted, it would typically reset after around 5 hours. However, recently I’ve noticed that the recharge time has increased significantly — it now seems to take around 5 days before the quota becomes available again.
This change makes it quite difficult to continue development, especially for large-scale prompts and iterative work ; and it’s really frustrating for a business subscription…
I wanted to ask:
Is this expected behavior or a recent change in the quota policy?
Is the recharge time dynamic depending on usage, or tied to a specific plan tier?
Is there any way to shorten the cooldown period or request additional quota for development purposes?
For context, I’m using Antigravity to develop a complex AI-driven system (large prompts, architectural generation, etc.), so hitting the quota is fairly easy during long sessions.
If anyone from the Google team or the community has insight into this behavior, I’d really appreciate the clarification.
What you’re experiencing isn’t the expected experience, but it’s what almost all users are experiencing, even Ultra subscription users.
The only update Google has provided (that I’ve sent in this forum) is saying “sorry this is happening, thanks for reporting”, then they link to the page shown in the screenshot above.
The problem has been reported for several weeks… And it is still not resolved despite some users paying for an Ultra subscription… ”sorry this is happening, thanks for reporting”… it could be good to resolve this very frustrating problem…
