Unable to return to Design Canvas after generating Technical Hand-off in Google Stitch

Hello Google Stitch Team,

I need help recovering my design workspace.

I have been working on a large project called “Aarati Fibre Industrial Redesign” for several days. The project contains approximately 50+ website screens including:

  • Home
  • About Us
  • Products
  • Industries
  • Projects
  • Manufacturing
  • Quality
  • Certifications
  • Engineering Resources
  • RFQ Portal
  • Contact
  • AI Engineering Assistant
  • And many other pages

Everything was working correctly, and I could view all the website screens in the design canvas.

While working, I accidentally clicked “Create AFI | Technical Hand-off”.

The Technical Hand-off document was generated successfully.

However, after that, every time I open my project, Stitch only opens the Technical Hand-off & Implementation Guide instead of the visual website design.

The page I now see starts with:

Project Brief: Aarti Fibre Industries (AFI) Digital Transformation

and contains the Technical Hand-off documentation with prompts such as:

  • Generate a CSS-only token file
  • Show me a mobile-responsive breakdown
  • Refine the Interactive States section

I can no longer access the visual design screens that I had previously created.

Things I have already tried

  • Reopened the project
  • Opened in Incognito mode
  • Used the same Google account
  • Checked the Share option
  • Checked Export options
  • The project always opens the Technical Hand-off document instead of the design canvas.

My Questions

  1. How can I switch back from the Technical Hand-off artifact to the original design canvas?
  2. Is there a way to view all my previously created design screens again?
  3. Was the design replaced by the Technical Hand-off, or is it still stored within the project?
  4. Is there a version history or artifact selector where I can switch back to the original website design?

This project represents several days of work, so I would really appreciate any guidance on recovering access to the original design.
