Unable to map custom domain to AI Studio Cloud Run service — missing run.domainmappings.create permi

Hello,

I created and published an application in Google AI Studio.

Application:
lms-platform-1.ai.studio

The application is already deployed to Cloud Run:

  • Google Cloud project: spartan-web-553bd
  • Cloud Run service: lms-platform
  • Region: asia-southeast1

I want to connect my own .kg domain using Cloud Run Domain Mapping.

However, when I try to create a domain mapping, Google Cloud says that my account is missing this permission:

run.domainmappings.create

The Troubleshooter says the required role is:

roles/run.editor — Cloud Run Editor

My Google account ([ed…@gmail.com] currently has Cloud Run Viewer, but I do not have the permission:

resourcemanager.projects.setIamPolicy

Therefore, I cannot grant myself the Cloud Run Editor role.

There is no other human user/admin listed in the IAM members of this project. The project appears to have been created/managed automatically in connection with Google AI Studio.

Could you please advise how I can obtain the required permissions or connect a custom domain to this AI Studio application without creating a new Cloud Run service?

I do not want to create a new Cloud Run service. I only need to map my existing .kg domain to the existing lms-platform service.

Thank you.
