# Unable to delete a Firebase/Google Cloud project created during Google AI Studio setup

Hello Google AI Stud **ab** io Team,

While using Google AI Studio, a Google Cloud project named `inspired-idiom-zlsxp` appears to have been created automatically during setup. I did not intend to use this project as my active Skillslity backend.

I now use my own Firebase project, `skillslityy`, and want to keep that project as my active backend.

When I try to shut down `inspired-idiom-zlsxp` in Google Cloud Console, I receive this error:

`You do not have the permission resourcemanager.projects.delete.`

Could you please help verify whether this project was created through Google AI Studio and explain how I can obtain the appropriate permissions or have the unused project deleted, if eligible?

Please ensure that my active project, `skillslityy`, and its data remain untouched.

Hi @MAYANK1, Google AI Studio starter projects do not count against your personal Google Cloud project creation quota and do not incur any charges. Because this project was provisioned under a Google-managed folder hierarchy, project deletion permissions are restricted to the managing system. Leaving an unused starter project in place is completely safe and does not consume your personal project quota slots.

To help us assist you, could you clarify if having this project listed is causing a specific blocker in your workflow? If your main concern was quota limits or unexpected costs, you can safely leave the project as-is.
