I have an active paid billing account and existing Gemini API access, but I need to create a separate free-tier project for a low-volume image OCR Slack bot.
Creating a new project in Google AI Studio consistently fails with:
Failed to create project, The request is suspicious. Please try again.
I have also previously seen permission denied / request is suspicious errors when trying to configure Gemini API access. Billing Support confirmed that my billing account is active and in good standing, and advised that this is a project-level technical restriction.
Could you please check whether an account or project-creation restriction/risk flag is applied, and advise how it can be reviewed or removed? I can provide non-sensitive project details privately if needed.
