Honestly, it may be time to seriously test alternatives instead of waiting for a clear explanation.
As a personal data point: I’m using ChatGPT Pro / Codex, and over the last two days I handled 6 projects while still having around 80% of my weekly limit left.
At this point, predictable quota behavior matters more than brand loyalty. If Ultra can suddenly go from “multiple projects for hours” to “quota gone in 1–2 hours” without clear communication, it’s very hard to justify staying.
With many “retry” due to the “Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now, please try again in a minute.” I finally can send some prompts to actual test the quota limit. The current quota limit for Ultra sub is extremely unusable! I only successfully send 5 quick prompts, it consumes 60% quota for Claude models. I am quite sure the current Ultra quota is even less than the old Pro tier plan! Google is a big cheater!
HAving the same issue. Account basically unusable. I think this could be a per account issue cause it doesnt happen for everybody. Basically I could have made something to trigger a shadown ban or something. But its jsut a suspect.
I has been using antigravity for months, I know roughly how fast the quota drains. Currently it remain the same behavior BUT deduction applied to all my other family accounts! My wife account never use antigravity at all, when I try using her account to login, she has 20% quota remaining! Which is same as all my other family members! That means about 85% of free quota is missing!
Rather than capping the number of family members, they’ve effectively collapsed the entire Ultra family plan into one shared quota, treating all members as a single account.
Well, the main reasons for buying a One subscription were that every member has their own Gemini quota. Although the rest of the members are non-technical, they tend to talk to or ask Gemini only. I am using it daily for my development tasks and everything else I need to discuss and research.
