Top Reasons Why App Submissions May Be Disqualified or Miss Out on Awards

LMFAO. I actually wanted to do it. I genuinely wanted to use my app submission to do a customer support representative for the competitors. I refrained myself because I don’t know the rules against scraping/using Google webpages content.

I also think there are many that submitted multiple projects. Maybe there are actually just 1500 people taking part

U know what else I saw? People who submitted in other competitions like Google Hackathons or something else, copy pasted their projects without even changing the video which starts off saying “Google hackathon something something”.

Wouldn’t doubt this for a second. People have done worse for less.

I saw a few projects completely in chinese/korean

I saw a project of a dude showing the wall to Gemini and asking what colour the wall is… (the wall was white…)

Actually this isn’t a violation of the rules. Their chances of winning may be lower because the judges likely don’t speak their language.

Same. Im most interested in who will win the creative category. What kind of it will be etc

Lulu since you got all this popularity you should start a thread asking people to name a project they like that isn’t their own. Might make some heads explode but would definitely save me time looking for interesting projects.

Already did that but no replies yet

I saw your thread but I was creating a list of my favorites privately so far. I’ll add what I have gathered so far there now and update the list as we go.

If I knew, if soo many submissions are gonna be disqualified I would have built a evaluation tool for rules using Gemini  it would have helped soo many to tackle incorrect submissions.
