The silence from Google is telling. Did they vibe code AI Studio off of a cliff? It seems plausible. I’ve been a paid Google Workspace user for years and years. I’m disgusted by the utter lack of accountability and communication.

We had to go through a 1-off re-platforming for AI Studio, the entire product had to be rebased and there were lots of hiccups. I will own that and apologies again to those who it impacted. We will keep pushing to make AIS more reliable and a place to build with confidence. Lots of lessons learned in the last few months!

To be direct about the current state of things: the performance was honestly much faster and better before the recent changes. Right now, OpenAI’s Codex is running significantly faster and already includes many of the features that are still missing here, like the “Reset Chat” button, which is a basic necessity.
Regarding the other points:

Pricing & Tiers: As a Google AI Pro subscriber, the transition to a pay-per-request model (or restricted “free” access only within the AI Ultra subscription) is a major pain point and honestly a pretty bad experience. It feels like a step backward in terms of accessibility for paying users.

Speed: While the publishing issues are technically “fixed” the speed of the generations themselves is still lagging. The response time lacks the snappiness it once had and doesn’t currently compete with the generation speed we’re seeing from Codex.
It’s functional, but it feels like the efficiency and user requested features have taken a backseat. I hope this feedback helps get things back on track!
Nice that there was at least some feedback after all this. Is there any way to import all the old apps to the new interface? Because all this mess I took a small vacation from AI Studio as I didn’t have enough patience. So - the apps I was trying to work on during this migration process etc - got migrated and I can see them in the new AI Studio. But I didn’t even try to open some of my other apps and I can still see them in Google Drive but not in the AI Studio - is there any solution for those omitted apps?

Same for me it feels like Google does not test thier own stuff, ottherwise whay are so many of us hitting isuses we never had before.
