Starter Tier not available when republishing existing AI Studio app

Hello,

I have an existing Google AI Studio application that was previously published successfully without billing.

The application now uses Firebase/Cloud Firestore and is associated with the Google Cloud project:
natstone-carpintaria

When I try to republish the application, the Publish dialog shows:
“No billing setup”

The only available options are “Set up billing” and “Refresh”.

I also cannot select another project. When I try, AI Studio displays:
“This project is locked because it is required by Firestore.”

I would like to continue using the available Starter Tier, if my account/project is eligible, without enabling billing.

Could you please confirm why the Starter Tier option is not appearing for this existing application and whether it can be restored/enabled?

I do not want to disconnect or recreate the current Firebase/Firestore project because the application already contains its production database and authentication configuration.

Hello @Luis_Santos ,

Not all accounts are eligible for The Starter Tier. Please check out the caveats mentioned in the Google AI Studio deployment documentation. Eligibility is determined automatically, and we cannot review Starter Tier access manually.

You might want to consider linking a Cloud Billing account to your project.
