Starter Tier Not Available – Publish Requires Billing

Hello Google AI Studio team,

I created a full-stack application using Google AI Studio Build Mode.

When I try to publish the app, the “Confirm Google Cloud Project where your published app will be stored” screen only shows:

  • Default Gemini Project

  • No billing setup

  • Set up billing

  • Refresh

The Starter Tier publishing option does not appear, even after refreshing.

My project is currently on the Free tier and has no billing setup. I do not want to enable paid Google Cloud Billing just to publish the application.

Could you please check whether the Google Cloud Starter Tier publishing entitlement is available/provisioned for my account?

I would like to publish my application using the available free Starter Tier, if my account is eligible.

Not all accounts are eligible for The Starter Tier. Please check out the caveats mentioned in the Google AI Studio deployment documentation. Eligibility is determined automatically, and we cannot review Starter Tier access manually.

You might want to consider linking a Cloud Billing account to your project.
