Hello Google Team, I am receiving a 403 PERMISSION_DENIED error with the message: “Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.” when trying to call generateContent from Google Sheets Apps Script.

  • API Key Status: Freshly created via Google AI Studio.

  • Usage: Personal spreadsheet automation for string normalization. No policy violations.

Could you please perform a manual review and restore Gemini API access for this project? Thank you!

this usually means the project got flagged by an automated abuse check, moderators here cant lift it directly. best bet is filing an appeal thru google cloud support with your project number so a human reviews it: https://support.google.com/cloud/contact/cloud_platform_report

Getting a 403 API error response and / or seeing “Unavailable” next to your project in AI audio indicates a flag has been placed on your account. To proceed:

  1. Check for banners / error callouts in the AI Studio Projects page & the Billing page.

  2. If the issue isn’t clear from the above, contact Cloud Billing Support.
