# Request to delete orphaned GCP/Firebase Project created by AI Studio

**Hello,**

**I am unable to delete a Google Cloud / Firebase project that was automatically created by Google AI Studio.**  
**I have already deleted the workspace application inside AI Studio, but the project is stuck on my dashboard as an orphan.**

**My account lacks Owner permissions (`resourcemanager.projects.delete`) because the owner role is held by `gcp-sa-managedprojects.iam.gserviceaccount.com`.**

**Could an engineer please manually force-delete or unlink this project from my account?**

Hi @Shalom_Tadeo, Google AI Studio starter projects do not count against your personal Google Cloud project creation quota and do not incur any charges. Because this project was provisioned under a Google-managed folder hierarchy, project deletion permissions are restricted to the managing system. Leaving an unused starter project in place is completely safe and does not consume your personal project quota slots. To help us assist you, could you clarify if having this project listed is causing a specific blocker in your workflow? If your main concern was quota limits or unexpected costs, you can safely leave the project as-is.
