Request for Manual Review — Gemini API Project Restricted (Project MACBOOK)

Hello Google Gemini API Team,

I am requesting a manual review of my Gemini API access.

My Google AI Studio project is currently shown as:

Billing Tier: Unavailable
Project Status: Restricted

When I send a Gemini API generateContent request, I receive:

HTTP 403 PERMISSION_DENIED

“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

Project details:

Project name: MACBOOK
Project ID: macbook-5096..

I have already completed the recommended account verification steps:

  • My phone number is verified.
  • 2-Step Verification (2SV) is enabled.
  • My date of birth is configured correctly and the account is an adult account.
  • The API key was created in Google AI Studio.
  • The API request successfully reaches Google, but content generation is denied.
  • Google AI Studio shows the project as Restricted and the Billing Tier as Unavailable.

I am using the Gemini API for personal, low-volume development and testing.

I would like to remain on the eligible Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing at this time.

Could you please manually review my account/project and restore Gemini API access if the restriction was applied in error?

I have not included any API keys or private credentials.
