Hello Google Gemini API Team,
I am trying to use the Gemini API Free Tier for a personal educational project called “Multi-Agent Research Assistant.”
My Google AI Studio project shows that it is on the Free Tier, but API requests return:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED: Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.
I have already completed:
- Phone verification
- 2-Step Verification
- Age verification
I also created a new project and API key and tested the API using the official Google GenAI Python SDK.
The request reaches the Gemini API but is rejected with HTTP 403.
I would like to remain on the Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing.
Could you please manually review my project/account and let me know whether Free Tier API access can be restored?
