Request for manual review — Gemini API 403 / Project Restricted

Hello Google Gemini API Team,

I am requesting a manual review of Free Tier API access for my project.

Project name: OFFMAPPER DEV
Project ID: offmapper-dev

Google AI Studio shows:

  • Billing Tier: Unavailable
  • Status: Restricted

A direct generateContent API request returns:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED

I have already completed:

  • Phone verification
  • 2-Step Verification
  • Age verification
  • Personal Google Account
  • New Google Cloud project
  • New Gemini API key

I would like to remain on the Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing during development.

Please review whether Free Tier API access can be restored for this project.

It seems like your projects are flagged by automated account security checks. To unblock this error, you should consider upgrading to a paid plan. You could add prepayment credits directly in Google AI Studio and/ or by attaching an active billing account in the Google Cloud Console.
