Hello Google Gemini API Team,
I am requesting a manual review of my Gemini API Free Tier access.
Project name: VS AI Minor Project
Project ID: vs-ai-minor-project-50871..
Google AI Studio currently shows:
Billing Tier: Unavailable
Status: Restricted
When I make a Gemini API generateContent request, I receive:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”
I have already completed phone verification and 2-Step Verification.
I also:
- Created a new Google Cloud project
- Enabled the Generative Language API
- Imported the project into Google AI Studio
- Created a new Gemini API key for this project
The API key is loaded correctly in my Python application. The models list request works, but generateContent consistently returns the 403 project-denied error.
This is a low-volume university minor project for an AI personal assistant. I would like to remain on the Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing.
Could you please review the restriction on my project/account and restore Gemini API Free Tier access if I am eligible?
I have not included my API key or any private credentials.
