Request for Manual Review – Gemini API 403 PERMISSION_DENIED on Project step-494015

Hello Google Gemini API Team,

I am requesting a manual review of Gemini API access for my university project.

All Gemini API content generation requests return the following error:

403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

I have already confirmed the following:

  • My phone number is verified on my Google Account.
  • 2-Step Verification is enabled.
  • My Google Cloud project is active.
  • A Gemini API key was created successfully in Google AI Studio.
  • The official Google GenAI Python SDK is installed and working.
  • Requests successfully reach the Gemini API endpoint.
  • The same 403 error persists after creating/replacing the API key.
  • Google AI Studio shows the project’s billing/access status as “Unavailable”.

Model tested: gemini-3.6-flash

The exact error is:

This appears to be a project-level or account-level access restriction rather than an application configuration issue.

Could you please manually review the Gemini API access status for this project and remove the restriction if it was applied in error?
