Request for manual review: 403 PERMISSION_DENIED — project has been denied access

Hello Google Gemini API Team,

I am requesting a manual review of my Gemini API access.

My Python Gemini API request consistently returns:

403 PERMISSION_DENIED

“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

I have tested this with:

  • A Free Tier Gemini project

  • A newly created project and API key

  • The Google GenAI Python SDK

  • A model available in my AI Studio account

I have also:

  • Enabled 2-Step Verification

  • Checked age verification; Google says my account does not require age verification

  • Confirmed that Gemini works normally in the AI Studio Playground

  • Confirmed that my API key loads correctly in Python

  • Tested a newly created project, but the same 403 error occurs

The project is currently on the Free Tier, and I would prefer to remain on the Free Tier rather than enable billing.

Could you please check whether there is an access, security, eligibility, or project-level restriction on my Gemini API access and advise how I can restore access?

I have not included any API keys or private credentials.

My newly created Google Cloud project is currently restricted, and API requests return:

403 PERMISSION_DENIED: Your project has been denied access.

I am using the Gemini API Free Tier and I do not want to enable billing at this time.

I have already enabled 2-Step Verification on my Google account and created a new API key, but the project is still restricted and API access is denied.

Could you please review my project and let me know if the restriction can be removed?
