I’m requesting a manual review of my Gemini API project.

- Created: August 25, 2026

- Billing: No billing account attached; I intend to use the Free Tier only.

Error

“403 PERMISSION_DENIED”

“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

Google AI Studio also shows that API access for this project is restricted and asks me to set up billing.

This is a newly created project. I would like to use the Gemini Developer API legitimately through an API key and believe this restriction may be a false positive.

Could you please manually review the project/account and restore Free Tier API access if possible?

If there is a specific policy, verification, or account issue causing the restriction, please tell me the exact remediation steps.

    • Ensure that the model you are requesting is available on your current plan. For example, not all models are available on the free tier. You can verify model availability, quotas, and limits on the AI Studio Rate Limit dashboard.
