Hello Google Gemini API Team,
I am requesting a review of my Gemini API Free Tier access.
Google AI Studio shows:
Project Name: MAITREYA
Project ID: maitreya-5ff71
Billing Tier: Unavailable
Status: Restricted
When my application sends a Gemini API request, it returns:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED:
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”
I am developing MAITREYA, a low-volume educational senior-care mobile application using Flutter and Firebase AI Logic.
The application is currently in development/testing and is intended to use the eligible Gemini API Free Tier. I do not want to enable paid billing at this stage.
I have:
- Enabled Firebase AI Logic
- Enabled the Gemini Developer API
- Enabled the Firebase AI Logic API
- Configured Firebase App Check
- Tested the Firebase AI Logic integration successfully up to the Gemini API access layer
However, Gemini requests are blocked because the Google AI Studio project is marked Restricted.
Could you please review the project/account restriction and let me know:
- Why the project has been restricted
- Whether Free Tier access can be restored
- Whether there is any additional verification required
I would like to remain on the eligible Free Tier and am not requesting paid access.
