Request allowlist access for Veo 3.1 Upscale (1080p / 4K)

Hi Vertex AI team,

I’d like to request allowlist access for the Veo upscaling capability announced in the April 4, 2026 blog post (Veo 3.1 Upscale 1080p / 4K).

Project details

Project ID: gen-lang-client-0087519..
Project Name: Default Gemini Project
Region: us-central1 (already enabled for Veo / Imagen / Lyria)
Billing: $300 trial credit active (account 014A14-16C0E8-…, valid through 2026-07-08)

Use case

Building a movie-commentary video production pipeline. Source footage is 2560x1440 30fps 8-bit at approximately 10 Mbps but visually soft; target quality is comparable to 1080p 10-bit cinematic releases. Plan to upscale 30-100 short segments (15-60s each) per month during preview.

Why Veo Upscale fits

Local upscaling on our RTX 4060 Laptop 8GB has been thoroughly tested and confirmed infeasible (SeedVR2 7B Q4 GGUF with 32-block swap takes ~13 hours just for VAE encoding alone; FlashVSR 7B OOMs at 1280x720). Veo Upscale pricing ($0.05 / 1080p, $0.50 / 4K) lands inside our remaining $300 trial credit (33 segments x $0.05 = $1.65 estimated total). Cinematic output quality matters more than raw inference cost.

Happy to provide more details. Thanks!

Friendly bump — 12 days in, project gen-lang-client-00875195.. still shows no Upscale option in Vertex AI Studio Video Task dropdown. The $300 trial credit expires 2026-07-08 (~25 days away). Would appreciate any update on the review queue. Thanks!
