The answer, I received from the Google billing support, is that you need to increase rate limit…
You can easily check your rate limit in the ai studio setting, they are VERY generous and I doubt anyone here is hitting those limits. That’s just a generic response for Google. I promise they were having issues related to “Detected Issue has been detected involving increased quota errors for multiple models. Investigation is underway.” it is resolved now. Try again, things should work fine if your on a Paid Teir.
Same as everyone here, paid API key, billing active, no quota exceeded on the console but still get the “Quota exceeded. Please try again later.”
Adding a vertex AI key did not work…

O Well Guys! Sometimes its not rocket science.
- Clear your Cache or Try Ingonito mode
- Ensure your Quota is set to higher value than lower and monitor your spending
- Ensure only 1 key is currently in use, map that to your project
- Use Secrets section for mapping the key manually.
Done!

I’m having the same issue and billing is active to on my account
Incognito worked for me for a couple of runs before it gave me the Quota error. I have reset the Chat settings to Free Tier and refreshed. It is working again. It is definitely on the Google side. Something happened yesterday, and coding is completely off. AI Studio is bringing teh app down by fixing it. It was OK a few days ago.
Google has all the capital in the world and still cant figure this out - or how to communicate to paying customers. I hate Lovable but this never happened over there

100% quota exceeded now on tier 1 paid key. Anyone get feedbacks on when google think we can have a stability?
This isn’t working, I think a lot of the people trying this are ended up with Google AI Studio going back to the default “free” tier. For some reason that free tier doesn’t bump up against quota limits.
