Quota exceeded. Please try again later

I tried using an incognito window - didn’t work. There seem to be a number of methods that work for some people in some areas, but no absolute fix.

Part of the problem is that raising issues to Google seems very hard. I have raised “bug” reports from within the app, but I have no idea what happened to them. There is a way of sending feedback, but it looks really hard to use - you cannot just paste in a screen snip. The only way that I found this forum was that eventually Gemini suggested it. I think Google need to have a standard, easy-to-use method of raising issues that is baked into all their apps as we should not have to rely on Google paying attention to forums like this that most people affected don’t reach.

And don’t get me started on Google console…

Did this and worked, it’s like almost obvious but no because if it was obvious i’ve should done that before finding this post. IT WORKED

I can see on their status page that today there error rates for model quota.

Could this be the problem?

I’ve tried everything, but nothing works. This all started after the new updates, and we still can’t use Gemini 3.1 Pro , we can only use Gemini 3.0 Pro. It’s a major issue on Google’s side.

Glad to hear it isnt only me! Ive had this for a whilee its been making me mad. Anyone got an fix for that or we’re waiting on google?

When will the god foresaken Google team fix this issue? How much more time do they need???

yep, I noticed the updated status this morning. Hope they’ll fix it soon, and we get back to free quota before the update to platform.

I solved the issue for me - go to google cloud console, look for vertex AI studio, and make sure it is set up and enabled. Went back to my google ai studio and BAM working no issue. You can tell google didn’t create this with normal people in mind, not too user friendly.

PLEASE Google get things working for a weke now there have been issues and we are not able to deliver on projects now with unhappy clients. Before recent upgrade things worked well now daily it ir broken.

Thanks and I tried this but it did not work and also tried to create an API key but then could not use that in AiStudio as you need to select a project in AIStudio

This seemed to work for how long I am not sure just reset it to the free key and you need to click twice. Happy buidling …

i also want to reply i connect my billing with paid key every single prompt i do when i want to code it get he issue quote execeeded! i see indeed on their status page they have a big issue! because i work for long time with AI Studio normally is very very fast! Now its frustrated that i cant code anymore.

I think the reason they dont respond to us is that they also got frustrated and dont know what it happening. Hope they will fix it soon.

I tried this morning and it looks like working now (I don’t know for how long).

I had this problem too. The following method worked:
In the key settings, remove the paid key and click the reset button.

I tried it and it didn’t work.

You’re not gonna get help here. Both vertex ai and gemini ai studio are on shared llm quota (except in gemini ai studio they just don’t show it, instead, make it “appear” like you are safe if you use their models withing the rate valid limits)

This is just google limitation and unless you are a billion funded startup/company and can afford tens/hundreds thousands of dollars per month for provisioned throughput you just have to live with the fact that your production apps will randomly fail to generate anything because the shared model/api location is currently maxed

That is not the issue of most people here - most people here are on a paid account and have a PAID api which is failing due to an issue Google Ai Studio has, check the google ai studio status page, consistent periods of downtime over the past few weeks after an update.
