I deleted the exact same prompt a second time, emptied the Drive trash, and successfully restored it again using the official Google recovery tool. I have the video proof. Meanwhile, all you do is keep talking without backing up a single word.

You are fundamentally misunderstanding the architecture. Emptying the trash is the trigger for deletion. When I use the Drive Recovery Tool, it ONLY restores the JSON file in Drive. It does NOT touch the AI Studio backend and cannot recreate a deleted AI session.

The fact that the chat fully loads and continues after I restore the JSON proves that the AI Studio backend completely ignored the ‘Empty Trash’ trigger and NEVER deleted the server-side data in the first place.

Google’s own “Activity” log shows in black and white that I:

  1. Permanently deleted the “Test Chat Successful” file (June 8).
  2. Restored and used/edited it (between June 8 and June 11).
  3. Then permanently deleted it AGAIN (June 11, 13:22).
