Hi team and community,
I wanted to share some concerns I’ve been experiencing as a Pro Plan subscriber, and I’d really appreciate some clarification.
After about 2 days of normal use, I’ve been locked out of the service and informed I need to wait 7 days before I can use it again. I understand that usage limits exist, and the advertised 5-hour limit seemed reasonable to me. What I didn’t expect was a 7-day block as a consequence of reaching it.
To give some context: I regularly use Claude and ChatGPT and have never encountered a limit — weekly or per session. So hitting a wall this quickly as a paying user was surprising.
I also noticed that the token counter didn’t appear to reset after the 5-hour window as expected. This concerns me: if the reset didn’t happen at 5 hours, will it actually happen at 7 days? And what happens if tokens reach 0% — is access permanently suspended until someone manually intervenes?
I’ve seen several threads about similar experiences but haven’t found a clear resolution from the team yet.
I’d love to get some official clarity on:
- How the reset cycle actually works (5 hours vs. 7 days)
- What happens when tokens hit 0% and don’t reset
- Whether there’s a known issue being worked on
I’m not looking to complain — I just want to understand what I’m paying for and be able to use the service. Thanks in advance for any response.
I also want to address the response some users have received stating that weekly limits exist to ‘maintain fairness between users.’ I understand the reasoning, but a 7-day lockout after 2 days of use doesn’t feel like fairness — it feels like a barrier. If the Pro Plan is intended only for occasional use and the full experience requires upgrading to Ultra, that should be clearly stated before purchase. Right now it feels like the Pro tier exists mainly to create the need for Ultra, rather than to actually serve paying users
