Billing account: 0192B8-0A3A1A-94C5..
On Aug 19, 2026 the AI Studio console prompted me to migrate from postpay to prepay. I accepted, and the migration reset my account from Tier 3 to Paid Tier 1, dropping the tier cap to $250 (TRY 11,849.39).
The problem is that the new Tier 1 cap was applied retroactively to my whole August spend, most of which was incurred before the migration while I was legitimately Tier 3. My account had already crossed TRY 11,849 around Aug 12–13, a week before the demotion — so accepting the migration paused every project instantly, with no usage change on my side.
All calls now return:
429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED
“Your billing account has exceeded its monthly spending cap.”
Since then I’ve purchased prepay credits — TRY 4,000 on Aug 20 and TRY 4,000 on Aug 24 — and I’m now holding TRY 7,023.44 in credits I can’t spend, because the cap blocks the calls that would consume them. By the documented criteria (“Paid $100 + 3 days from first successful payment”) I should have reached Tier 2 on Aug 23, but the console still shows Paid 1.
One possibly relevant detail: my billing console shows “Billing data delay: cost data since Wednesday, Aug 19, 2026, 1:56 PM PDT may be temporarily incomplete or missing” — the same timestamp as my migration. If tier recalculation reads that pipeline, it may be why my purchases haven’t registered.
Could someone run a manual billing sync and restore the tier the migration discarded? Happy to provide any further account details.
