Personal account (non-Gmail address) blocked from Stitch "Service not available"

Hello Stitch team,

I can no longer access Stitch. I get the error “You tried to access a service that isn’t available for your account” (accounts.google.com/info/servicerestricted). It was working fine about two weeks ago, and I have existing projects on this account that I really need to recover.

Account details to help you identify the block:

  • Account type: personal (consumer) Google account, created with a non-Gmail / custom-domain email address
  • Country: France
  • Age: over 18, correctly set in my Google account
  • Not a Family Link / managed / Workspace account (no “managed by organization” notice on myaccount.google.com)

Troubleshooting already done: signed out/in, incognito window, extensions disabled, cleared site data for stitch and labs.google.com, account language set to English (US) — the error persists.

Could you please check the block reason for this account and re-enable access? I’d like to retrieve my existing projects. Thank you.

Hey @Garance, the servicerestricted error on a custom domain consumer account is triggered by an automated Google Identity compliance check, not a block by the Stitch team. Google’s backend sometimes misidentifies EU custom-domain accounts as restricted organizational profiles.

Please try these quick steps:

  1. Try signing in with a standard @gmail.com account to verify if the project opens successfully.

  2. If you shared the project previously, have a collaborator invite your regular Gmail account so you can regain access.

  3. Check myaccount.google.com under your custom domain for any pending EU privacy or consent forms.

Please know that this is as per my understanding on the description you provided, this appears to be an external authentication issue rather than a block from the Stitch side.
