Hello, I get this error in Android Studio when using the AI agent: Model query failed: PERMISSION\_DENIED: Verify your account to continue. Details: - Android Studio: Tools \> AI (signed in with my personal Gmail account) - Plan shown in Android Studio: Limited (free) - The error appears on agent requests (e.g. when it reads my project files). A simple “hello” message worked earlier with gemini-3.5-flash-lite. - It still fails after I switched to Google AI Studio as the model provider with my API key. What I have already tried: - Signed out and back in to Android Studio - Checked my Google account security page (nothing missing) - Checked Google Cloud console (no warning banner on my project) - Checked AI Studio: my projects show Free tier and are not marked Restricted Projects: - seku-smart-attendance (project number 414207183..) - gen-lang-client-08525670..(Default Gemini Project) Could someone check whether my account or these projects have a verification restriction, and tell me what I need to do to clear it? Hi, @kennedy_musembi, @Rashid_khan2 I had the issue and resolved it using Claude’s help by doing below: The android studio just does not show how to complete the validation. Open the log file (go to help in android studio → then show log file in finder) Search for “Verify your account to continue” in the logs. You will find something like below. Copy the validationUrl, open it in browser and finish the validation. You will then be able to use it “ineligibleTiers”: [ { “reasonCode”: “VALIDATION\_REQUIRED”, “reasonMessage”: “Your current account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals, the free version of Gemini Code Assist.
