Google, any chance you would let us use OpenCode? I personally don’t care about any other tools or services, having to get API keys to use all that other stuff is fine by me. Where it stands now though Google is one of the only AI providers that doesn’t allow clients to use any OpenSource software. Microsoft allows OpenCode usage, GPT has OpenCode support, Anthropic is Anthropic.
Not having a latest gen frontier model, lying about its release, sub par tools, no OpenSource alternative tools to access. Not going to lie, it makes all the other providers that much more appealing.
