Not able to load Set up Billing popup in Google AI Studio.. Content Security Policy (CSP) error

Hi,

I am not able to load the Billing Popup in Google AI Studio. I tried from different places. From API Key page, from Usage & Billing page. Same result. A Blank popup opens and the spinner goes on. I tried to see the issue using Chrome developer tools. I tried from multiple devices. Tries switching internet service provider. Same result.

I can see the following errors in google chrome developer tools console log. I am not sure the issue is due to one or more of these errors or not.

a) Framing https://accounts.google.com/ violates the following Content Security Policy directive: “frame-ancestors https://console.cloud.google.com”. The request has been blocked.

b) chrome-error://chromewebdata/:1 Refused to display “://console.cloud.google.com“ in a frame because it set ‘X-Frame-Options’ to ‘sameorigin’.

c) m=_b:1407 POST ://alkalimakersuite-pa.clients6.google.com/$rpc/google.internal.alkali.applications.makersuite.v1.MakerSuiteService/GenerateAccessToken 401 (Unauthorized)

I have to manipulate some error text above (removed https word) such that they do not appear as link), because as new user I am not allowed to put more than 2 links in a post. Strange restriction :frowning:

Thanks & Regards

Hi @srijeeb.roy

I am trying to reproduce this issue and have wanted to clarify

  1. Are you using an VPN when accessing AI Studio ?
  2. Have you tried this in incognito window - to rule out any browser extensions which might be interfering

Could you also share a screenshot of the page along with entire console logs if possible, this will help us better debug this

Hello Mustan,

Thanks for replying !

  1. I am not using any VPN and not using incognito window too. (Update: today I tried in incognito google chrome window too. Same result)

  2. I tried from Chrome from 2 laptops and one Android device(Samsung mobile).

  3. Tried with 2 ISP: JIo Fiber (landline) and Airtel mobile internet (I am from India).

Please find the logfile and screenshot link:

I too face the same issues. Company is in Singapore and have tested with incognito, as well as brave.

@srijeeb.roy I noticed in your screenshot, your top-right of your Chrome browser says “Verify it’s you”.

I read this help article - Verify it’s you when you complete a sensitive action - Android - Google Account Help which implies that things like Payments are guarded by this verification process. Are you able to “verify” that it’s you? Does that make a difference?

The screenshot from incognito google chrome. No “Verify it’s you” option.

I just wanted to report in that the exact same thing is happening to me.

Ditto. If I can’t pay, then I can’t pay.

I am experiencing the same issue for last couple of hours.

Google I’m literally trying to give you my money, fix this:joy:

Im also having the same issue

Same issue here, any advise how to fix it or any workaround? Looks like some global issue?

The same problem existed 10 hours ago, and now it’s the same. Please fix

I used Safari browser from my iPhone and it works.

works on Safari but doesn’t work on Chrome, correct?

Getting the same issue with the same errors in console as OP. Tested in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, incognito tab, standard tab, cleared cache. Tried across multiple devices (Windows, macOS, iOS). “Verify It’s You” is not present per one of the suggested fixes.

Had the same issue resolved it by adding 2FA (two factor auth) to my google account, seems you can’t access google cloud if you don’t have that security measure on.

Still an issue. 2FA is active.

Adding 2FA and then going to the google cloud console directly instead of trying to set up billing via. AI Studio worked. AI Studio’s “Set Up Billing” option still did not work, even after enabling 2FA.

I’m facing the same issue: tried with Firefox, Safari, both incognito after login with 2FA, without any luck.

Wait, actually Safari works after loading for a few seconds.

Guys, try with another browser to unblock yourself!
