New folder for RULES?

i’m using Antigravity 1.18.4. when creating a new rule, it saves it in an .agents folder (plural). It was previously saved in an .agent folder (singular). Is this an official change or a bug? I can’t find it anywhere in the documentation.

Hello @Cartch_Art, welcome to AI Forum!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have confirmed this behavior in Antigravity version 1.19.5, where new rules are being saved to the .agents/rules directory. As you noted, this creates a discrepancy with the current documentation, which still references the .agent/rules path. I will share these findings with the relevant internal team.

Can you please confirm that skills and workflows will continue to be located in the /.agent folder (singular)?

Hello @Josephratl, welcome to AI Forum!
We’ve moved towards .agents/, but we do have backward support for .agent still. Please, let us know if you have any issues.

Why have you chosen to move to .agents?

hey, guys. i was supposed to send my findings the same day i posted this ticket. sending this update now. i have done multiple tests. i have verified that both .agent (singular) and .agents(plural) work. it will first look for the plural version, then if it does not exist, it will look for the singular version. if both exist, the plural version will be used. this is particularly important if you’re working off your existing project templates.

i still find it weird they have to change this default naming considering the variety of implementations for flexibility. is an internal agent fully handling the development of AG? did it apologize for ‘missing that’? oh well

Thank you for sharing the update with the community.

Going forward, .agents (plural) should be used as Antigravity team has moved towards that.
Should you encounter any further difficulties, please do not hesitate to let us know.
