Hi all, thanks for your great work on the competition!
I would like to propose a change in the UX for the voting page. Currently, the voting page displays only 3 projects at a time on desktop and 1 at a tie on mobile. While the “shuffle” option shows new projects, it appears to present them in a random order. This means that the chance of viewing all the projects is extremely low, and many projects might never be shown to a significant number of voters. Even if a user clicks “shuffle” hundreds or thousands of times, there is no guarantee they will see every project due to the random nature of the display.
Feels the system primarily benefits those who receive direct traffic to their project pages via shared links, benefitting people with large circles and social media following. To provide a fair opportunity for all projects to be seen and voted on by the public, I suggest implementing a browsing mechanism that:
- Allows users to browse all projects sequentially or through categories/tags, ensuring visibility for every entry.
- Displays more projects at a time (e.g., 20 or 30 per page) to improve discoverability.
- Provides filtering or search options so users can easily find projects that match their interests.
This approach would enhance the voting experience, ensure fairness, and give all projects a fair chance to be viewed and appreciated by the public. I hope the team considers this feedback to improve the competition experience for everyone involved.
Thank you!
