Missing conversations and projects

Conversations are routinely lost even when full projects have been discussed, built, and completed. I spent hours in Antigravity yesterday on a project but today, when I logged back into my PC, it’s gone. The output folder remains with the completed project (though I needed to make some tweaks today), but the entire chat is gone, so all my thoughts, logic, Gemini’s counters, etc… are gone. Interestingly enough, the Walkthrough summary was still displayed in Antigravity, but the entire chat history, hours of discussions, are simply gone. How is this even possible? I’ve spoken with others who’ve had similar experiences. How can Google put out a product, integrate it with a paid product, Gemini, and be so carless with work?

For me the chat still exists in the antigravity folder. Had to give the chat the folder guid of the history and it then loaded it so maybe it’s a path bug or filter issue?

  • First, try rebuilding the index database:

    • Completely close Antigravity.
    • Open Win + R, type %APPDATA%\Antigravity\User\globalStorage\, and Click Enter.
    • copy state.vscdb file and make sure to backup that file.
    • Open your command prompt and run this exact command to delete the desynced key: sqlite3 “%APPDATA%\Antigravity\User\globalStorage\state.vscdb” “DELETE FROM ItemTable WHERE key=‘antigravityUnifiedStateSync.trajectorySummaries’;”
    • Reopen the app. It should scan your local files and automatically rebuild the sidebar history.

  • Sometimes the update traps your old data in a legacy folder.

    • Close the application.
    • Press Win + R, type %APPDATA%, and hit Enter. Look for two separate directories: Antigravity and Antigravity IDE.
    • Copy the contents of the User\ folder from the legacy Antigravity path to the new Antigravity IDE\User\ path.
    • Relaunch the app.

If you’re in the middle of working and just need to reference that lost chat, you can open a new chat, type @, and select the Conversations tab. This will let you search and pull in files or rules from the missing conversation directly.

This happened to me today as well; it turned out that the database was corrupted somehow. The agent was able to actually fix the issue, to its credit, but only after a few tries. If you ask the system to review the brain and give it keywords, it can often find the conversation even though it doesn’t show in the history.
