The current quota replenishment system is fundamentally broken and misleading. After waiting nearly two weeks for my models to reset, I utilized 40% of my capacity on both Gemini 3.1 Pro and Claude Opus. The UI explicitly stated my limits would refresh in 5 hours.
However, after the 5-hour mark, Claude did not refresh at all, and Gemini Pro only trickled back a measly 20%. Immediately after, the system bypassed the 5-hour window entirely and slammed me with a ‘Refreshes in 6 days…’ lockout.
If Google is going to enforce a hard 7-day wall to manage compute, the UI needs to reflect that accurately. At the absolute bare minimum, the system should replenish the quota to 100% before triggering a massive week-long cooldown. Stop bait-and-switching your paying users.
