Manual billing sync request — 429 "prepayment credits are depleted" despite funded and enabled billing

Hello Google team,

I’m experiencing the known billing-sync bug between Cloud Billing and AI Studio’s Gemini API prepay system.

Details:

  • Project ID: etsy-saas-5056..
  • Billing account is linked and active (confirmed in Cloud Console — billing enabled)
  • API key belongs to the correct project (created via gcloud alpha services api-keys create, restricted to generativelanguage.googleapis.com)
  • GET /v1beta/models works normally
  • Every generateContent and predict call returns:
429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED
"Your prepayment credits are depleted. Please go to AI Studio at https://ai.studio/projects to manage your project and billing."
  • This has persisted for 24+ hours since enabling billing, unchanged.

Could you please perform a manual billing sync for this project so the credits are recognized?

There is no manual billing sync at our end.

You need to add some minimum amount of money (10 USD) to the prepaid wallet.
