Kind request for manual review: 403 PERMISSION_DENIED "Your project has been denied access"

Hello Gemini API Team,

I am an individual developer using Google AI Studio for personal projects on the Free Tier.

My projects are receiving the error: 403 PERMISSION_DENIED (Your project has been denied access) when trying to access the API.

Project ID 1: gemini-projekt-1 (Project Number: 1479608621..)
Project ID 2: gemini-projekt-2-508321 (Project Number: 4055944980..)

Bound account: ais-gemini-key-b..@147960862152.iam.gserviceaccount.com

Until today, I had the uBlock browser extension active in Firefox, which blocked some background scripts. While trying to figure out why the API was not connecting, I tested different settings, creating two projects and generating API keys.

There was never any automated or high-volume traffic. It was just me trying to set up my personal access.

Could you please manually review my account and restore API access for my projects?

Getting a 403 API error response and / or seeing “Unavailable” next to your project in AI audio indicates a flag has been placed on your account. To proceed:

  1. If you’re on the free tier with no billing attached, please try the below steps:

  2. Check Model Availability & Rate Limits:

    • Ensure that the model you are requesting is available on your current plan. For example, not all models are available on the free tier. You can verify model availability, quotas, and limits on the AI Studio Rate Limit dashboard.

  3. Ensure you have completed age verification by navigating to Google Account Age Verification and verifying date of birth in Google Account Personal Info.

  4. Complete Phone Verification and turn on 2-Step Verification (2SV) on the Google Account associated with your project.

  5. Once age, phone and 2sv are configured, retry your request or create a new API key in Google AI Studio.

  6. If completing these steps still does not restore access (or if using a model requiring a paid tier), you might want to consider adding prepayment credits directly in Google AI Studio and/ or attaching a Google Cloud Billing account in the Google Cloud Console. Please note this will mean you lose your free tier quota.

Thank you! I went through the checklist:

  • Age Verification: Checked. My Google account shows no further verification is required, and my birthdate is set (adult).*

  • 2-Step Verification (2SV): Fully configured and active using a hardware FIDO2 security key / Passkey.*

  • Phone Verification: I do not own a smartphone/mobile phone for privacy reasons, which is why I secure my account strictly via FIDO2.*

My project gemini-projekt-1 is still blocked with 403 PERMISSION_DENIED: Your project has been denied access and the rate limit page states the quota tier is unavailable.

Could you please request a manual review / unflagging for my Google Account and/or project ID gemini-projekt-1 so I can use the Free Tier?
