I am very disappointed by the translation on the competition details page of my project. I am french, I sent the page to my friends and family, and they saw the page translated in french. The translation comes from “API Cloud Translation” and it’s awful !!
There is some misinterpretation, strange words translation, …
But first of all : there is missing sentences ! The translated text is not complete !
Please Google, it’s a competition about AI, can you provide a nice translation algo 
I completely agree.
There is also the problem that the screen breaks when using languages other than English.
ex)
For now, if you do not add hl=en and at least make the page in English, even the screen structure will be strange in languages other than English.

I also faced this issue. I thought somebody was hacking so I quickly changed my password and then it stopped happening.
I purchased Gemini Advanced.
Using 2.0 Flash model the translation english-italian is good if done from the web interface. It is very unconvenient though, because for example it is uncapable to translate more than about 75 short sentences at a time. To translate the typical subtitles for a TV episode I have to feed it max 75 lines of script (as numbered in SRT format). Not even the file uploading feature can overcome this limitation.
Using the API via Subtitle Edit (model unknown) is more convenient (albeit perhaps slower), but then Gemini becomes even more polite than a 6 year old. If there is even the slightest possibility of interpreting a sentence in some “inappropriate” way, Gemini simply returns an empty response!
WTF?
