Issue with account usage and token limits

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using Google AI Studio with an organizational (premium) account, but I’m running into an issue with account usage and token limits.

My setup:

  • I have both a personal Google account and an organizational account.

  • The organizational account has access to higher limits (premium usage).

  • However, when I open AI Studio, it seems to default to my personal account during development (prompting/UI usage).

The problem:

  • My usage is being counted against my personal account instead of the organizational one.

  • I quickly hit token limits (“out of tokens”), which blocks further development.

What I’ve tried:

  • Switching accounts in the browser

  • Logging out and back in

Questions:

  1. How can I force AI Studio to consistently use my organizational account for all requests?

  2. Is there a way to explicitly bind API usage to a specific Google Cloud project or billing account?

  3. Could this be related to API keys, project configuration, or browser session conflicts?

Any guidance on ensuring usage is tied strictly to the organizational (premium) account would be really helpful.
